d0sim verification page - maintained by Lei Wang

To verify new d0sim releases, we compare the new release with former release by making plots for each part of the D0 detector. By doing this, we first generate single particle MC events with mc_runjob. After that, we create root tuples of variables (VRT) out of the MC events using MC_EXAM. Then we build root tuples of histograms (HRT) from VRT. Finally, we plot comparison plots for different releases.  

This page shows the comparison of different releases by generationg 2000 50 Gev single pions. The plots below are histograms for  d0sim output (dig). The plots for d0gstar verification can be found here. The plots for d0reco verification can be found here. In the plots, black histogram is for former release and red dots are for new release.

The ones that marked with "new" are the plots after we fixed a bug in our code to have muon hits in d0sim and d0reco plots.
