Code Management Tools at D0, references
Descriptions of and instructions for using the basic tools used at D0 can be found
in the following documents.
- A UNIX based Software Management System:
- is a rather complete tutorial of the Code Management Tools (SoftRelTools)
being used at D0 for Run II developed by the CD/D0/CDF Run II Code Management Group.

CVS
- the Code Versioning System run in a client/server mode with
modifications due to the SDSS (Sloan Digital Sky Survey) group at FNAL;

SoftRelTools
- the suite of release tools written by Bob Jacobsen et.al. for the BaBar
experiment at SLAC. See also the
User's Guide. This system is the basis of our
version of SoftRelTools.
- gnu tools
- public domain tools, gmake etc. See

for a nice set of reference documents on the gnu tools as well as many other free
and shareware programs.
- UPS/UPD
- written at FNAL to allow multiple concurrent released versions to co-exist
and to do distributions.
