Thumbnail Fixing

Thumbnail fixer is a way or re-reconstructing event from  TMB+ . Tracks and PS clusters can not be re-reconstructed since TMB+ does not have enough information for it. Different flavors of D0reco have slightly different imperfections which should be fixed by different configurations and/or versions of the TMBFixer. Please refer to the section "What data to use for Analysis"

p17 Thumbnail fixing:

1. apply the calorimeter hadronic calibration and redo all the calorimeter objects
2. apply the adaptive vertexing
3. refit the tracks to better take into account material and redo the matching with the relevant objects

p14 Thumbnail fixing pass-1

• Reads a thumbnail file
• Remakes CalDataChunk correction for:
  1. Shared energy problems which are not fixed in p14
  2. Tower 2 problem
  3. Calorimeter cable swap
  4. MGx2 bug
     
• Remakes PV (2-pass vertexing, see D0Note 4263)
• Fixes ChargedParticle extrapolation to CPS and association with vertices.
• Remakes taus, jets, em objects, missing ET and muon linkes
• Makes new ThumbNailChunk
• Writes out a new TMB file

p14 Thumbnail fixing pass-2:

• Reads a thumbnail file
• Remakes CalDataChunk after:
  1. checker board fixing<
  2. noise cell killer
  3. T42 in killing mode
• Remakes PV 2-pass vertexing (if necessary)
• Fixes CPS links if possible
• Remakes taus, jets, em objects, missing ET and muon linkes
• Makes new ThumbNailChunk
• Writes out a new TMB file
