Hi,
  I frequently build this on windows (I've not done it in about 4
months, but before that I did it all the time). I used root to do the
building, and it worked just fine. I did install cvs and hack that so I
could have kerberized cvs access on my windows machine, but short of
that, it was pretty easy.

  So -- the comment about documentation may be right, but it certainly
has been recently verified.

  If you want to _make_ tmb tree's it is a totally different issue. Then
you do need all of dzero in all of its, uh, glory.

Has this been verified?  It's certainly not part of the documentation
that
can be found easily.
