Is there another way to tell whether a jet is a noise jet? How will the jet flavor in MC be calculated? What is the associated primary vertex, is it related to the results of Ariel's trackjet package? There's a good chance this package will be part of the standard jetid in p17, and its output will be commonly used, did you consider storing its outputs? A related question: how hard will it be to add fields to the CAF later? What will be the cost? How can you tell is a jet is taggable? Just looking at the associated trackjets and checking their track pT is problematic since two split jets can share the same trackjet (say with two 1GeV tracks), but only one of them should be considered taggable (as is the case today). On a related issue: what are your thoughts on my suggestion for storing the difference between the jet's shape and a cone in CAF, is there any chance of making this happen? Some methods were already described in the proposal. Some methods we'd like to see for jets are: getRawEt(), isGood(), isL1Rejected() (so called noise jets), failedQualityCuts() (so called bad jets), isTaggable() (exact definition from b-id group), getL1Var() (the variable on which the L1 confirmation cut is made, it's L1SET / pT*(1.-chETfraction) ) Cheers, Bernard & Amnon -----Original Message----- From: owner-d0-conveners@listserv.fnal.gov on behalf of Herbert Greenlee Sent: Fri 12-Nov-04 10:19 AM To: d0-conveners@fnal.gov Cc: D0 Data Format Working Group Subject: Common Analysis Format Proposed Contents Hello Physics and Algorithm Conveners, A draft content proposal (version 1.0) for the proposed Common Analysis Format is available on the d0dfwg web page at the following url: http://www-d0.fnal.gov/Run2Physics/working_group/data_format/content_v10.pdf By now, content proposals exist for most branches, although a few are still missing. Please ask your groups to review the proposed contents and either give your approval or suggest changes. Comments can be sent to the data foramt group mailing list d0dfwg@fnal.gov.
