Dear Colleagues,
Carmenita passed away on March 21, 2004 after a long battle with cancer. Fermilab Today outlined some of her contributions to laboratory in this nice note. She was an important contributer to DZero computing. She is sorely missed. Some nice notes from collaborators are included below.

The development of the Run II Online system benefited greatly from the contributions of Computing Division personnel who were not formally members of DZero, but who contributed to the development of the system as if they were on the experiment. As leader of the principal CD group working on the Online system, Carmenita set the tone for the manner in which they participated in the development effort and I fully support recognizing her important contributions to DZero in this highly appropriate manner.

Carmenita has been such a driving force in CD for D0. I was extremely impressed with her passion with her work even during the time she was putting up her fight with the illness.
