Igor Terekhov (Computer Professional) Service Work: Computing and Software 40+ hrs per week? Service Task Group: Computing and Software Service task Leader: Wyatt Merritt Description: "I have been leading the SAM's effort to put D0 computing onto the Grid. I have been developing grid solutions for job and information management (JIM) pertaining to D0 applications. In addition, I have been working on D0 application infrastructure that grid-enables d0 applications, namely, the Grid aspects of the mc_runjob package. More generally, in the course of several years, I have been designing, implementing and supporting core features for the SAM system, which is used for D0 data taking, import of MC generatied files, reconstruction on the main d0 farm (and hopefully offsite as well), and physics analysis on the central analysis systems (CAB, clued0) as well as remote farms. If necessary, contact me for more information about my personal contributions into the SAM project." Incidentally, "ven though "SAM" is considered by CDF, all the work I've done in the past 5.5 years is almost entirely devoted to D0. If CDF does choose to move over to SAM, this still wouldn't change the D0-edness of SAM until I work starts including CDF specific issues. Last year, I've only spent a few hours on CDF-specific issues but spent a lot more hours (many weeks) on the mc_runjob code (D0 version thereof). The customers whose questions I answer (D0 france, UK, Gridka in Germany) are all 100% D0. Updated: October 20, 2003
