Generators Infrastructure:
- Study and fix the event record at the Fortran (HEPEVT) level using
the hepevt_repair program (Contact: C. Biscarat)
- Update Tauola library. Update Tauola interface with Tauola author's

- Review and improve the particle selection in MC++ including additional

- Introduce an optional use of the ISAJET and SUSPECT SUSY RGEs in

- Introduce and systematize the usage of HDECAY and SDECAY for Higgs

Using CD Generators DB MC Samples:
- Copy the samples from ENSTORE, process them using a custom MCstdhep.x,
write the generator file metadata, store the generated file in SAM, define
a SAM dataset, submit a MC Request for processing at the MC farms (Contact:
S. Muanza, ongoing, help needed )
- Improvment: also write a FOME MD and declare the MCFIO file in
SAM
Generators Certification:
- Review and fix the problems with generators parameters and metadata
in mc_runjob/d0runjob. Discuss thhe implementation and test with the d0runjob
team. An alternative is to develop a Cardfiles DB (Contact: S. Muanza,
C. Biscarat, G. Brooijmans)
- Improve and systematize the usage of the Cardfiles_Tester.sh (Contact:
S. Muanza)
- Revive and improve the mctest package (Contact: J. Rani)
Generators Usage:
- PDF usage and PDF uncertainties: (Contact: S. Muanza, T. Nunnemann)
- Fragmentation systematic uncertainties: study and provide a general
procedure to measure the systematic uncertainty related to the fragmentation
model used in our MC samples. The 2 reference models are the Lund fragmentation
implemented in Pythia and the cluster fragmentation implemented in Herwig
ran with the Jimmy package to simulate MPI (Contact: S. Muanza
)
- Matrix Element and Parton Shower matching: implement the Mangano's
matching prescription at D0. Provide tools to apply it on the Alpgen+Pythia
(and more generally on FOME+PS) MC production at D0 (Contact: M. Begel, S.
Muanza, ongoing, help
needed)
- Merging of Alpgen+Pythia DSPACK files in the Common Alpgen Production
Script (Contact: C. Biscarat, ongoing, testing needed)
Generators Informations in MC Samples:
- Maintain the MC Catalog, develop the "step 3" for automated samples
search (Contact: S. Muanza, C. Biscarat)
- Send feed-back on bugs and problems to this central Catalog (All
users!!!)
