Minutes for D0 Simulation Meeting

1) Status of simpp and D0sim:

Serban reported the Status of simpp and D0Sim. The first version of D0sim is released in t00.77.00. It includes some digitization packages, pileup and CalWeight packages at this moment. He also showed the plots comparing d0gstar+d0reco (doing digis in d0reco) with d0gstar+d0sim+d0reco (without digis). They agree quite well in most of the case, except tracking.

2) Status of PMCS:

Greg reported status of PMCS. There are a lot of progress in pmcs. Since t00.79.00 pmcs changed from single package to multi package program. It uses about 0.1 second to process a ttbar event, including genarte the event, reconstruction anf produce ntuple output. Greg described the structure of pmcs and the framework hooks used in pmcs. Greg has been working with particle id groups on physics object packages. Currently the pmcs_em, pmcs_chprt, pmcs_jets and pmcs_tau packages exist. Plan to add pmcs_muon, pmcs_vertex and pmcs_cal packages.

3) Highlights from the trigger emulation design group report:

Elisabeth gave some highlights from the Trigger Emulation Design Group Report. She showed a task list, and told us that many iterms on that list are still in discussion, not solved yet. They will try to solve it in the next few days. She also told us that they already got comments from several people and added some comments into the report. After reading Roger Moore's comments, they added Roger into the authour list. She reported that the Design Report will come out on Friday, March 3, late afternoon. It is D0note #3726.
