Minutes for D0 Simulation Meeting

Meeting Date: March 15, 2000 (Wednesday)

1) Status of RawDataChunk Generation

Bruno Thooris's email is shown on transparencies, which gives the Update on RawData. Bruno reported that a test version of PackReco is included in the cvs header of the package unpack_reco. Bruno is working on muon and SMT raw data and will be here in April to make it a good packge.

2) Pileup Update

Francois Touze's email is shown on transparency, which gives the Update on Pileup. Francois reported that he added a debug switch, added the merging of SimMUONHitChunk and is working on MCLinkIndexChunk merging. Hw will make a new version for the next release. He also reported that Pierre is at Fermilab to get information from muon id group.

3) Trigger Simulation

Serban reported that there will be a trigger simulation meeting on Thursday biweekly. In this week's trigger simulation meeting, we will mainly discuss about the Report from the Trigger Emulation Group.

4) MC_analyze Package

Dhiman reported about mc_analyze package. This package stores the key information from McKineChunk to a Ntuple.It can be linked with other analyze package together to build the global ntuple. Some example plots from the mc_analyze ntuple can be found at ~dhiman/mc_analyze/t00.79.00/mc_analyze/rcp/*.eps on d0mino. Greg Graham indicated that pmcs also produce a ntuple with most of information from McKineChunk. Dhiman and Greg will work together to combine the efforts on MC ntuples.
