Plans for program RawData -> (pseudo)SimXXXHit (D0RawToSim?)

Serban proposes a new program, D0RawToSim, to construct psudo Sim XXXHitChunk
from RawDataChunk, so we can produce minbias files from real data for merging
with MC events in D0Sim_x. We already can unpack RawDataChunk and convert the
unpacked chunks into digi chunks. What needs to be done is that every
subdetector should be able to convert its digi chunk to SimXXXHitChunk
(for calorimeter we need MC CalDataChunk == data CalDataChunk).

Package for pseudo SimSFTHitChunk

Mike has made a new package to convert a SFTDigiChunk into SimSFTHitChunk.
The package has not been released yet. MIke promises to release it soon.
Then Serban will test it with the D0RawToSim
program. All other subdetectors should do the same and can use Mike's
new package as an example. This is to prepare us to be able to overlapping
real min-bias/zero-bias events on MC events for a realistic pileup.

Making uniform CalData

Laurent described about how to treat calorimeter weight uniformly
for MC plate, MC mixture and real data. Making a method to call calorimeter
weights is already done. What still need to be done are to make the Pileup to
track calweight RCPIDs and to determine new weights for real data,
for MC plate to data, for MC mixture to data and for L1 trigger tower.
Laurent brought up some thought for general concens: Need a database for
zero-bias events asa function of Luminosity, detector conditions, etc;
Need special teatment for head/tail of beam bunch train; Using mix events
from different runs for pileup to avoid the correlation of noise and hot cells;
Need tools to export files to the farm...
- D0GStar plans for P10 (Shuichi)
Shuichi reported that the main changes for p10 is to impliment
the realistic maganet field into D0GStar. He is working on this.
There is a problem with the current p08 d0gstar (p08.09.00) on the
delta ray. The delta ray cut higher in p07 improved the CFT performance.
But accidentally the old cut value got into p08. The delta ray cut values
are:
- In old production versions -- 100 KeV
- In p07 ----------------------- 1 MeV
- In p08.09.00 --------------- 100 KeV
- In p09 ----------------------- 1 MeV
Qizhong suggests to get this fixed in p08 if there will be another build
for p08.
After meeting updates: This is fixed in p08.11.00 (5/15/2001).
The delta ray cut value is 1 MeV now.
