Subject: Electron-id/likelihood CALGO Task Force Dear Calgoer, we are pleased to announce a new CALGO task force devoted to the electron-id/likelihood: Harald Fox (co-chair) Bob Kehoe (co-chair) Sabine Crepe-Renaudin John Gardner Michel Jaffre Steve Kahn Joe Kozminski Qichun Xu + the ex-officio members, Robert, Ursula, Gregorio and Ron/Jan who chair the other electron task force (cf other mail) Please note that the actual certification remains under the responsibility of Harald and Jan, but the goal is to propagate what will be learned in the CTFs to the certification, hopefully before the next calorimeter worskhop (the week before the february collab. meeting). Charge: ------ short term: 1) Tune the id-cuts and the current likelihood for p14 with T42. medium term 2) Continue improving Hmatrix understanding: HM8, HM7, develop HM6. 3) Continue the e-likelihood developments (including cps understanding) 4) Define electron-id criteria in the ICD region. 5) Measure the improvements with the Fake rate evolution. 6) In conjunction with the simulation groups, improve the data/mc estimators comparison. Thanks to help the task force with your contributions, or even officially join, and thanks to all the members who have already accepted to serve. The meetings of this task force will be available through the CALGO page of the agenda server. Cheers, Ursula and Gregorio
