DØ Level 3
Algorithms Meeting: 4th September 2002 in the Farside
Talks
-
Update on calorimeter unpacker: Marumi Kado.
-
Speed:
-
Zero suppression using pedestal/sigma file implemented.
-
This file consists of two arrays of 55k integers.
How to get access to "latest" file online?
-
How often does file need to be changed? In calorimeter online system
this happens every few days. Offline the same file is used for long
periods of time.
-
Because this is urgently needed it should go into p12!
-
.rcp parameter needed to set threshold.
-
Code tidy-up: has proceded in a separate code version (independently
of zero suppression mods) -> p13.
-
Auto configuration: Volker's mods should be easy to implement -> p13.
-
L3 tracking efficiency studies using Z->ee events: Daniel Whiteson.
Within geometrical acceptance efficiency ~80% axial, 70% axial+stereo.
If cft has at least 7/8 axial hits withing road around expected
electron track path efficiency 94%.
-
Update on timing studies: Han Do.
Next steps. Need number of calls to each filter. (Suspect that each
script is called on each event.)
Detailed break down needed of where time is used in the calorimeter tools.
-
Tracking d0trigsim bugs with bugzilla: Josh Dyer.
-
Prompts user to supply all information necessary for efficient bug tracking.
-
Automatically sends email to relevant tool authors. Email sent to
Angela Bellavance and Dugan O'Neil if not enough info is supplied to
identify specific author.
-
Lots of useful features, but two additional pieces of information
that the system might document were suggested:
-
range of releases for which a particular bug was relevant.
-
list of bugs fixed when a particular release was made.
