DØ Level 3 Algorithms
Meeting: 23rd October 2002 in the Farside
Talks
-
Tests on memory consumption in p12: Yann Coadou.
p12.04 shows a memory leak of 8 kB/event. Suspicion currently on
l3tCalUnpTool.
Action item: Marumi to investigate.
-
Status of L3Muon and remaining steps to certification: Martin
Wegner
Concentrating on L3MuoCentralMatch at the moment.
-
Special run missed debug_chunk for L3MuoCentralMatch
(Trigsim suggests problem has been fixed.)
Trigsim used for studies on the special run.
-
Matching in delta_eta and phi of Muon-Track.
Compare with offline matching. Quality similar.
-
Requiring loose muon eta<1.4: efficiency 42% for offline match, 35%
for L3. Is pt cut the same for offline and L3 TRACKS?
-
Suggestion of matching problem in L3MuoCentralMatch at phi=2*pi?
-
Martin and Daniel will sit together to look at events where offline
finds match and L3 doesn't.
-
Effect of L3 not knowing solenoid and toroid polarity needs to be evaluated.
-
Certification of L3MEt: Markus Klute
-
L3MEt tool and two electron + MEt triggers are approved by the Trigger
Board.
-
Requires p12 to be run online. L3 algorithm tests were presented to
the Trigger Board by Marumi Kado. Conclusion: we are ready to run p12
online.
-
Monitoring of MEt online stability is now possible (and very important).
-
Of the next steps probably the most important is investigating the effect of
ignoring coarse hadronic cells on the MEt.
-
Status and plans for "Online-offline" comparator: Han Do
Plan is to try to make comparison of physics_results for specific
tools, starting with tau. Define "equality" operator for each tool's
physics_results. Reasonable tolerance needs to be defined for each
quantity.
