I've run the global tracking code on some recent events with CFT+SMT information. In the plot: http://www-d0.fnal.gov/~danielw/tracking/012302/l3gt.142371.tracks.ps The top plot shows all global tracks by track-phi. The second plot shows the dca/phi correlation, with the new beam spot drawn as a sine-wave. The last plot shows the adjusted dca (with the sine wave subtracted) the plot http://www-d0.fnal.gov/~danielw/tracking/012302/l3gt.142371.tracks.stats.ps Shows some stats about the tracks, including number of smt hits, number of stereo hits found, chisq, and pt. the plot http://www-d0.fnal.gov/~danielw/tracking/012302/l3gt.142371.tracks.hits.ps Plots the x,y position of all of the hits on found tracks. The phi distribution is nowhere near flat, and there are many areas to work on. One of the largest obstacles currently is that we can only set a single fixed pedestal value (this study was done at adc=120), where we've seen from offline studies that the pedestals vary dramatically from layer to layer and ribbon to ribbon. Robert is working on that. daniel ______________________________________________________ daniel whiteson www.whiteson.org/daniel danielw@socrates.berkeley.edu 773/752-2257(h) 630/747-6467 (cell) 630/840-3954 (w) ------------------------------------------------------
