Muon ID Data Samples

We have project disk space available at: /prj_root/1153/muid/
This is visible on clued0, cab and d0mino0x.

Z->mumu high luminosity picked raw data

These samples are run2b (pre-shutdown 2007) raw data that have been selected (by luminosity) by muo_cert. There are currently two luminosity bins available: instantaneous luminosity 150-200e30 and instantaneous luminosity over 200e30. The filelists for the raw data files are available at:

p14 reconstruction

1) Sample of efficient and inefficient Z->mumu events, p14 TMB format. 
Skimmed from the full pass 2 dataset, but not including v13 triggers (runs < 195xxx). 
This is about 50K events, and provides all the data you need to make efficiency plots using muo_cert. 
The selection is described in the Z cross section note, D0note 4689.

2) A larger skim of Z and W events, again p14 TMB format. 
The skim was made from the full pass 2 dataset, but does not include v13 triggers (runs < 195xxx).
Events are selected matching either:
1 medium muon, pT>14 GeV
or
2 loose muons, each pT >14 GeV
The higher of pT or pT corr is used in the cut. 
For CFT only tracks, I recalculated pTcorr using the beam spot.

3) OBSOLETE: A p17.06.02  MC pythia sample.  111k

This data set is fixed  and should be compared to p17 fixed data

5) OBSOLETE: A p17 fixed muo_cert skim in TMB format. (wzreco/muo_cert v04-00-07)
There are ~200000 events, which corresponds roughly to 800 pb-1 of data

The triggers and loose cuts used for this skim are described in the file
/prj_root/1153/muid/muo_cert_skim/p17fixed_p180400_v040007_pre/ZMuFinder.skim
Be aware that using looser cut or additionnal trigger could yield to efficiency biases.
 This skimmed has to be refixed regarding calorimeter isolation and jet content


6) OBSOLETE The data you should no more use (see 8) ):  
Refixed sample made from  sample 5).
200k evts, ~800 pb-1 of data.

7) The MC you should use:

A p17.09.01 MC pythia sample refixed with p17.09.05. 225k (RequestId 30604) /prj_root/1153/muid/Zmumu_pythia_tmb_p1709+refix_reqid_30604/TMBfix* This sample containts only 73k independent event, the rest are duplicate. Some events are present 19 times !. See details .

8) The data you should use:

Cable swap fixed data. ~250k evts made from all p17 refixed and cable-swap fixed data2MUhighpt skim available in november 2006: /prj_root/1153/muid/muo_cert_skim/skim_p170903_p170906_v050600_november06/list_files The inputs files come from the dataset definition: CSskim-2MUhighpt-PASS3-p17.09.03 CSskim-2MUhighpt-PASS3-p17.09.06 CSskim-2MUhighpt-PASS3-p17.09.06b wzreco/muo_cert version v05-00-05 were used using the cuts described in the dedicated RCP: wzreco/rcp/ZMuFinder_skim.rcp Be aware that using looser cuts could yield to efficiency biases. There is no more trigger biases with this version (selection does not rely on trigger).

p20 reconstruction (Run IIb )

Frozen sample for summer 2007 skimmed by muo_cert (TMB format)

This corresponds to the official p20 pass2 sample for summer 07 analysis and (pre)certification. There are ~216000 events from p20.08 and p20.07 data. (~40 000 Zmumu) From june 9 2006 (run 221703) to April 13 2007 (run 232187) /prj_root/1153/muid/muo_cert_skim/skim_p20_summer07/file_list 10) p20.08 p20.07 muo_cert skim of all p20 available data (TMB format). This correspond to 9) + some data from early run2b + data taken after april 14 2007. 268 000 events in total from june 9 2006 (run 221703) to June 8 (233491) /prj_root/1153/muid/muo_cert_skim/file_list_p20 The triggers and loose cuts used for skim 9) 10) are described in the file wzreco/rcp/ZMuFinder_skim.rcp of wzreco v06-00-01 Be aware that using looser cuts when analysing the skimmed data could yield to efficiency biases.

p20 MC
