p20 Preliminary Certification

A preliminary certification of p20 has been completed (thanks to Boris). It is intended for use on the summer 2007 (p20 pass2) data set. The final data quality has not been released for this data set, so the certification should be considered preliminary. The "final" certification will be completed when the final data quality is available.

Data Samples

The data samples used for certification can be found on the Recent Data and MC Samples page. Both the data and MC sample was processed with muo_cert v06-00-01 to compute the relevant efficiencies.

Details

The certification procedure and types of muons certified is nearly identical to the p17 muon certification. One difference is that the "tight" muon definition has been removed. Muon definitions can be found in the p17 muon certification note (D0Note 5157), or on the web Additionally, trigger terms have been updated for the run2b trigger. However, not all possible trigger terms have been implemented in the certification. With the trigger terms that have been implemented, users should be able to calculate the efficiency for the triggers MUHI(1,2,3)_TK12_TLM12, MUHI(1,2,3)_ITLM10, and MUHI(1,2,3)_ILM15. Contact the muon ID group if additional triggers are needed.

Additional details (and plots) can be found in Boris Tuchming's slides at the 17 April 2007 and 15 May 2007 Muon ID meetings.

Using the Preliminary Certification

The spc files for the preliminary certification is available for caf analyses in the muid_eff package, version v04-00-01
