The d0rug list is for users to ask general DØ software questions, and for software management to send broadcast announcements, like computer downtimes.This mailing list also receives the minutes from the Software Subsystem Coordinators meeting, held on Fridays. From these minutes, you get news about software releases for that week, what releases may disappear from disk earlier than the normal schedule, whether any interface changes to software are scheduled, etc.
The sam-users list is for users to ask questions or report problems related to the data handling system, SAM , and for the SAM management to send broadcast announcements relating to SAM status, ENSTORE status, and version changes.
If you don't like large volumes of mail and/or will not spend that much
continuous time on software and analysis, you may prefer to refer to the
archives of these mailing lists as necessary: d0rug
