How to get root-tuples back out of sam

The root-tuples from preco04.00.04 are being staged to sam cache on d0mino but the samples change with time as new files are added. To get the latest version you should run a project which just creates links to the files you want in a directory. Here is how

Make a directory you want to run from

If you want to make your own project, remember to include requirements --datatier=root-tuple and --applicationfamilyversion=preco04.00.04 and that the string psim01 be in the filename.
Download the script getroot.py
Change the project name to your choice
Type:

setup sam

sam run project getroot.py > mylog &

You will, sooner or later, get a set of links to the files in your directory. You can then analyze them without worrying about how the sam cache is arranged.

You can now make a chain of the links. Please open the files with the 'READ' option.
