1.) You must create a sam project definition with the following characteristics.
2) go to page: http://d0db.fnal.gov/sam_farm_request/
Name of project = special-<group>-<information>
where <group> is the group making the request (muon, align, smt)
<information> is a unique way for you to identify the project later. You might want to attach the keyword special-<group> to your
project for ease in searching the db.
The project definition needs to consist of the run numbers you want processedexample:
run_number 129129-129130,130000-130100 and data_tier raw
YOU MUST INCLUDE THE DATA_TIER OR THE PROJECT BECOMES RECURSIVE!
fill in ONLY the 3 blank FieldsName <your name>
Project Name <definition you just made>
Do not mess with the project version line leave it as 0
Appl Name Version <the version of code you want>
( You can find the current running version by hitting list requests over on the left side, clearing the request_status field (so you see all requests) and then hitting list on the right side. This shows you the list of recent requests.)This will fail if:
1) you are not registered in group dzero in sam
2) the definition doesn't exist
3) the version of code has not been frozen yet.
Hit submit requestYour request will not be run until it is 'approved'.
You can track your request by hitting listrequest, putting your name in to the query and hitting list.
3) You should then send a request to (d0-conveners@fnal.gov) and to
(d0-farms@fnal.gov) asking that the processing occur. Short runs of recent data are generally processed immediately but reprocessing/large samples require ORB permission to proceed.
