OFFICIAL D0 RUN II DATA-SETS

The D0 reconstruction farms do production runs over ranges of data with defined code versions. This documents the official production runs for runII.

Anyone doing physics analysis should understand the differences between the different data samples, they can and do overlap!

P11.09 and up series

p11.09 is run on raw data after Jun 3, 2002

special stream eliminated after p11.11

Algorithms info

p10.15

Run p10.15 on raw data taken Feb2-Jun3, 2002

Algorithms info

Known problems:
p10.15.00 did not have root files for special stream
p10.15.01 was ok, but could not process some data to a vtx statistics bug which did not affect output but did crash code
p10.15.02 is missing muon hits due to a compiler bug in Linux 7.1 maxopt
p10.15.02-dbg is the same run without optimization
Some files were run through both p10.15.00 and p10.15.01, if you find some, please report and they will be deleted.

p10.14

P10.14 has two input sources, the raw data and the filtered files from p10.11.00. Because of this, the filtered events from p10.11.00 occur twice in the p10.14.00 output and need to be distinguished by sam dimensions. Datasets have been defined which pick up the correct data.

Some data after Feb 1 were processed with p10.14, they are not part of an official sample, see p10.15 for that.

The sam project definitions for the Moriond sample are under keyword p10-14-official

reco_139500-145043_p10.14 is the reco files with no filtering

root_139500-145043_p10.14 is the root files with no filtering

filtered-reco_139500-145043_p10.14 is the filtered reco output files using p10.14 filtering

filtered-root_139500-145043_p10.14 is the filtered root output files using p10.14. filtering on the reco followed by reco_analyze

reprocessed_p10.11_filtered-reco_139500-145043_p10.14 are the filtered reco files from p10.11 run through p1014 reco

reprocessed_p10.11_filtered-root_139500-145043_p10.14 are the filtered reco files from p10.11 run through p1014 reco and recoanalyze

To eliminate known bad runs, you need to use

--dim="__SET__ <set from above> minus (run_number 139615,140452,141185,142109,143729-144186 )"

None of these samples should be mixed in any analysis as the filtered and reprocessed are overlapping subsets of the full sample.

p10.13

P10.13 has one input sources, the filtered files from p10.11.00.
