How to restart servers for the farm

The servers restart automatically on reboot but you often need to restart them by hand.

Log in to the farms as sam and go to the top directory:
 

To restart the station and fss on d0bbin:

    source ~sam/stop_start_fnal-farm_station.csh
 

To restart the stagers on an individual worker

    rsh -n fnd0XX ~sam/stop_start_fnal-farm_worker.csh &
 

To restart the stagers on all workers

    source ~sam/restart_prd_stagers

you need to kill the rsh processes after a while as they get stuck in limbo
