For versions from t04.04.00 and p17 on, TrigSimCert can be run as any other D0 executable, that is:
setup d0tools
setup D0RunII p17.00.00 (or any other version number)
runTrigSimCert -filelist=your_filelist OR for SAM files runTrigSimCert -defname=your_defname
Where your_filelist is a text file containing the COMPLETE path to the thumbnail output of TrigSim you want to run on and your_defname is the SAM dataset name. If you want to run on files in DST format, add -DST to your command line and if you want to run directly on raw data files -RAW needs to be added to the command line (this option only supported from t04.05.00/p17 on).

-batch (and the appropriate options) to run on the clued0 batch system and
-cab (and the appropriate options) to run on CAB
Previous releases of the D0 software do not include the trigsimcert package. In order to use it, you must then use the following, where the steps marked by a * need only be done the first time you setup trigsimcert.
setup d0tools
setup D0RunII t04.03.00 (or any other version number)
* newrel t04.03.00 your_directory (same version number as above)
Where your_directory is a directory that will be automatically created to contain the trigsimcert package
cd your_directory
* setup d0cvs
* addpkg trigsimcert v00-03-10 (or any other version number)
Stop here if you only want to use the macro.
* gmake all
runTrigSimCert -filelist=your_filelist -localbuild ... and all the normal options: -DST, -defname for SAM job, etc
In all cases, other options include
-out=file will write the processed events to the specified file
-num=number will fix the number of events to process (default all)
-name=name will set the job name
