CFT
Offline Calibration
Basic Assumptions
We
assume that for offline calibration CFT detector needs pedestals, gains and
efficiencies for each channel. Under efficiency we understand relative light output
which depend on fiber (both scintillating and clear) characteristics, quality
of connectors, physical and attenuation length of wave-guides. At the simplest
level it can be just information on if the channel is dead or fiber is broken –
efficiency equals 0.Calibration parameters depend on time and possibly on
luminosity, if different hardware parameters ( bias voltage) will be used for
different luminosity (background) ranges.
We also assume that
calibration of the whole CFT at once in a single run could be impossible or
unnecessary so at the database level we have to deal with subsets of
calibration parameters.
