The channel component of the silicon_geometry package provides a wrapper for the silicon geometry needed to convert silicon cluster positions to global positions. It provides information relative to the native (i.e. strips) system such as pitch, stereo angle, offset of the first readout strip and converts a point on a given silicon element into a point in the global detector coordinate system.
