D0 RunII Packages area

This directory tree contains the source code for each package, and each version of each package that are currently being supported by D0.

Each of the D0 packages has it's own subdirectory here. Within that subdirectory, each version is a seperate subdirectory tree. Versions are created and released at the command of the package czar who is responsible for maintaining that package. There should be documentation within each package version giving details of the package status, the czar's name and email address etc.

NOTE: it makes no sense for any specific version of a package to be associated with any other specific package version in this context. That only makes sense through the "release". Therefore, if you browse through the packages via this route, some of the internal documentation which needs to make links between packages will not work. In that case, back up and browse via the /d0dist/dist/releases/ tree where such linkages makes sense.

Within each package release there is only one special version, devel. This version is a cvs update'd version of the package that is done each night automatically. During this automatic update a history as recorded by the cvs commit comments is created and written out as cvs_log.html.
