Last year, we evaluated some commercial software products for configuring and managing batch queues on UNIX platforms and have decided to purchase LSF (Load Sharing Facility) software from Platform Computing Co. LSF is a general purpose distributed computing system that supports both interactive and batch jobs on a network of heterogeneous computers.
