NEdit is very simple, intuitive and X-based. It has very good
on-line help available on the editor screen. The commands are available from pull-down menus and key-board versions of same commands are also shown beside the items.
It is very easy to browse and learn to use NEdit from the very first time you try it. If you get into trouble you can always cancel the operation you are about to perform or use undo command from the edit menu to reverse
any modification that you have made.
you can setup nedit by typing
% setup nedit
to edit a file, then type,
% nedit filename
