Global tracking meeting, Far Side.
- Release status. (Herb Greenlee)
- Magnetic field offset. (Rich Smith)
Rich reports that survey data indicates that magnetic field is centered
with respect to cft. Therefore hard-coded 1 cm offset between cft and
magnetic field has no justification. There follows a discussion of what
action to take, but at a minimum, everyone agrees that the 1 cm offset
should go.
- Global alignment. (Guennadi Borissov)
Guennadi shows improved vertex x vs. z and y vs. z with new alignment.
H disks are included, but many dead wedges.
- AA status. (Matthew Doidge)
New AA features:
- Non-uniform magnetic field.
- Refit now works.
- New cft -> smt step, including vertex(es) found from smt -> cft step.
This step allows tracks to be found with any number of smt hits, including
zero.
AA efficiency problem seems to be solved.
Quoted performance numbers show better performance than current default
tracking, and still faster with lower pT threshold.
