D0 global tracking study with GTR MC tracks and clusters (30jul98)

This study

MC tracks were generated with GtrMcFillPkg.
Simulated clusters were generated with GtrClusterSimPkg.
Tracks were found with GtrFindPkg.
The global tracking ntuple was filled with GtrTuplePkg.
This study was carried out in D0 release t00.24.01 updated with GTR 0.14, CFT 0.20 (cft_trf 0.20.01) and TRF 0.56.

Results for single-track events.

Run 102 has 1000 events with one track/event.

Here are results for CFT+SMT track finding (0.24 sec/event):

Efficency (0.88), misreco (0.00) and fakes (0.11).
Fit chi-square (18.6), match chi-square (6.1) and hit multiplicity (21.8).
Resolutions.
Significances (0.93-1.00).

Here are results for CFT-only track finding (0.10 sec/event):

Efficency (1.00), misreco (0.00) and fakes (0.00).
Fit chi-square (8.7), match chi-square (5.5) and hit multiplicity (16.0).
Resolutions.
Significances (0.85-0.91).

Results for 10-track events.

Run 103 has 1000 10-track events. Here are results for CFT+SMT track finding (3.32 sec/event):

Efficency (0.85), misreco (0.00) and fakes (0.13).
Fit chi-square (19.4), match chi-square (6.5) and hit multiplicity (21.7).
Resolutions.
Significances (0.94-0.98).

Here are results for CFT-only track finding (0.77 sec/event):

Efficency (0.984), misreco (0.00) and fakes (0.00).
Fit chi-square (9.1), match chi-square (6.2) and hit multiplicity (16.0).
Resolutions.
Significances (0.89-0.94).
