We have made much progress since last summer:
-
The program runs much faster
-
Optimized Linux is 5X faster than unoptimized IRIX.
-
Better paths
-
Code optimization
-
Overlap is almost ready
-
Identified the non-uniform field as a problem and work has
begun to include it in track finding
-
Track refit is faster and accounts better for material
-
Partial understanding of the CFT efficiency dropoff with added bg
-
Cut recording shows the effect of individual cuts
-
Moved hardwired detector cuts into OBS files
-
Can extrapolate outside the tracker (but not past the CPS)
-
Capture and run environment makes track finding portable
-
Farm allows us to run tests in a few hours instead of a few days
-
Some progress in CFT cosmic ray tracking (for commissioning)
