Global tracking provides a framework executable gtr which runs the global tracking packages.
We have a procedure to capture and run the global tracking executable from any private or public build. The run machine does not have to have any special software except the KCC runtime libraries.
We make our own optimized Linux build for each test release. Typically this is based on the first build and is available on Wednesday.
We do the above builds on d0lxbld2 but are concerned how usage of that machine will scale.
We run studies on a dedicated part of the D0 reconstruction farm. We have 10 machines (20 processors). This enables us to to carry out multiple studies over large samples each week.
