DØ Calorimeter Characteristics

The DØ Calorimeter is (almost) symmetric in phi and (almost) symmetric in positive and negative eta. There are nominally 37 readout towers for each phi slice in positive or negative eta, labelled ieta 1-37.

There are 17 different "layers" in the calorimeter, with one tower having up to 12 layers. These are characterized in Table 1. The full addressing scheme can be found in the Run 1 D0 Note 774 by Jim Linnemann.
