This is the GLINK transmitter board used on the DFE transition boards Design by Pat Sheahan, circa 1998 Not much information about this design. For some reason the schematic and layout were done in Accel EDA, which is since fallen off the face of the earth, but gerbers are available. No BOM found. These GLINK chips are very sensitive to... everything, first generatation Gbps serializer technology circa 1989. These chips run so hot that they're packaged in ALUMINUM QFP packages! Ugly, ugly +5V power too. Newer +3.3V parts are NOT compatible in 20bit mode...? Check with Johnny Green, he managed to make a few of these recently, so the parts have not gone completely obsolete!
