Field Definitions

note: empty cells or cells marked 'reserved' will contain zeros

BOR = beginning of record, "111"

HP = Horizontal Parity bit

PM = Pass-and-Mark, not supported, "00"

SCL = SCLinit control bit

FX = First Crossing control bit marks bunch crossing number 7

N = Set to indicate the North end cap

Wedge = The wedge number, range 0-15 (see General Information, below)

Data Type = L1FPS, "00010"

Rec Type = L1 record, "111"

#PSC U NO MIP = Number of U layer clusters with no MIP association

#PSC U MIP = Number of U layer clusters with MIP association

#PSC V NO MIP = Number of V layer clusters with no MIP association

#PSC V MIP = Number of V layer clusters with MIP association

Vertical Parity = Vertical parity calculated over frames 1-6

General Information

The cluster counts in this record are truncated at 15. If a count is "1111" that should be interpreted at 15 or more clusters present. Wedges are actually numbered 1-16, but to save a bit they are encoded as 0-15 in this record, e.g. wedge 1 is encoded as "0000".

Revision History

2 November 2005: created.
4 January 2006: added parity links.
23 January 2006: move the vertical parity data from frame 4 to frame 7.
