Muon High Voltage User’s Guide

1. SETUPS

Request 3 setups for d0mino.fnal.gov .

> setup n32

> setup D0RunII

> setup d0python

Only need one setup for d0ola.fnal.gov

> setup d0python

 

2. RUNNING High Voltage System

Both for d0mino.fnal.gov and d0ola.fnal.gov

> cd ~mao/hvmus

> hv muhv_??.dat

?? can be a, b, c, pad and wire, corresponding to A, B or

C layer Scintillator counter or WAMUS pad and wire High Voltage.

For example,

> hv muhv_c.dat (will run C layer Scin. H.V. and get a Figure 1 as following)

> hv muhv_pad.dat (will run WAMUS pad H.V. and get a Figure, similar Figure 1)

 

 How to Run the displayed Figure

Here will be 0%, 10%, 20%, …… 80%, 90%, 100% for your choice.

For normal running, 100% will be selected

How to Run single or only several Channels

If only one or several channnels request High Voltage, such as C layer No.28,

with left mouse key. The color in the cell will change to yellow .

Click the yellow cell with right mouse key, the old set value will disappear

Write New H.V.Value, which you want, into the cell

Click Return (or Enter) Key The H.V. Set will be finished.

Choice Turn On

Click Cell once more

Choice RAMP H.V. will reach your set value in channel 28

Choice Turn Off Run Finished

 

3. MAP of H.V. Channels Corresponding to Detector

(Careful, must teurn and ramp PAD H.V. first, before running wire H.V.)
