DØ Production Database
The main purpose of the DØ Production Database is to keep the history of data processing by DØ Offline software and the relevant history of the raw data from which it came. It is also a central repository for luminosity information relevant to this data. Only physics runs which are written to tape by the Data Logger are considered RAW data. The database is a relational database designed using the VAX RDB environment. The information stored in it is updated using several different FORTRAN programs which have embedded SQL (Structured Query Language) commands. These programs update specific tables or parts of tables in the database.
