Candidate events from the D0 top quark mass analysis in the lepton + jets channels This is a supplement to the Phys. Rev. D paper, Abbott, et al., ``Direct Measurement of the Top Quark Mass at D0.'' It gives the detailed parameters of the candidate events used in that analysis. Please see that reference for an explanation of the terms used. The following tables give the detailed kinematic parameters and fit results for all 91 events passing the precuts. Four-vectors are given for the lepton, missing Et, up to the hardest six jets, and the tag muon (if one exists). These are given both before and after the kinematic fit; for jets and missing Et (met) they are given both with the full set of jet corrections described in the reference (which are used for the kinematic fit), and with only the standard corrections. (The event selection uses only the standard corrections.) The full set of corrections depends on the jet assignments chosen; the displayed values are based on the assignment which gave the smallest chi^2 (chisq). Only the jets actually used in the mass fit are displayed with all corrections. Four-vectors are parameterized using transverse energy Et, pseudorapidity eta, azimuthal angle phi, and invariant mass M. Results from the kinematic fit are also given. The ``Perm'' column gives the assignment of jets to partons, in the order in which they appear in the table: b and B denote b quarks associated with the leptonically and hadronically decaying top quarks, respectively, while W denotes the quarks from the hadronically decaying W boson. For each permutation, we give the fitted mass mfit, the fit chisq, and the t-tbar invariant mass mtt. Other derived quantities tabulated are: H_T = Sum Et(jet). H_T2 = H_T - Et(jet_1). E_T(W) = |Et(lepton)| + |met|. M_T(W) = Transverse mass of lepton and neutrino. Aplanarity = Aplanarity (x_2). eta(W) = Pseudorapidity of reconstructed W boson. x_3 = H_T2 / H_z. x_4 = DeltaRmin(jj) E_Tmin / E_T(W). D_LB = Likelihood-based discriminant. D_NN = Neural network-based discriminant. p_T(tt) = Transverse momentum of t-tbar system. mtt(3C) = Invariant mass of the ttbar pair, from the best jet permutation, with the additional constraint m_t = 173.3 GeV/c^2. chisq(3C) = Fit chisq from the best jet permutation, with the additional constraint m_t = 173.3 GeV/c^2. For the calculation of p_T(tt), the full jet corrections are used; however, the light quark corrections are used for all untagged jets. All energies, momenta, and masses are given in GeV, GeV/c, or GeV/c^2, as appropriate. The flags in parenthesis after the event number are defined as follows: P Passes precuts. v Used in variable-mass analysis. p Used in pseudolikelihood analysis. l Passes LB cut. x Used in cross
