DØ Public Results on Top Quark

These are the most recent (as of November 10, 2000) results from the DØ Top Group. All have been approved for public presentation. The journal publications on top physics are listed at the bottom of this page. Immediately below this introduction is the latest information from the group dealing with the averaging of parameters of the top quark at the Tevatron. More details and spread sheets are available on DØ's private Top Web Page: (HERE). There is also a completed document summarizing the procedures used in averaging the mass of the top quark (FERMILAB TM 2084). CDF feels that their new cross sections for top-antitop production will not have much impact on their extracted mass values, so we can expect these results to remain stable. There now also appears to be convergence on calculation of the Tevatron-averaged cross sections, and consequently we can shortly expect this averaging process to be completed for Run-1.   • Ann Heinson presented talks on the search for single-top production, titled: "Search for Electroweak Production of Single Top Quarks at DZero" (at DPF, Ohio State, Aug, 2000) and "Single Top Quark Production at the Tevatron" (at QFTHEP, Tver, Russia, Sept, 2000).
