Old short Beam Scintillation counter is replaced with a full 102" long scintillator. The length 102" was chosen to cover the entire Em layer 1 of the central calorimeter with Cosmic ray.

The trigger rate of this counter, using the coincidence of the two end PMT's is set to be 12Hz with about 2Hz accidental rate. |

The L1 framework needs to be timed in with the master clock for 132ns acceletator ticks. Dan's worked on this both last and this week. He thinks he is done with timing. He also has verified the L1FW being controlled by the COOR. Here in this picture, Dan is setting up safety system for the L1FW for contonuous running mode. |
