The
DØ Online group performed a "Dry Run" to re-verify their November
1, 1999, functionality of all the DAQ applications. The
group included one more application called DLSAM which ships the data file
written by Data Logger (DL) to Feynmann Center Robotic Storage system via
RIP. There were complications in carrying out this exercise.
One of the main issue was lack of Level 3 framework applications that could
communicate to COOR to receive proper run number and packes it into the
event data. The DL checks (which is an absolutely necessary
feature) for the consistency of the run numbers between the event data
and the COOR message. If the run numbers do not match the DL
issues an error and stops writing out the data into the data file.
Stu Fuess will report on the result of this exercise in the commissioning
meeting on Feb. 11 and the summary of his presentation will be included
into this page later in the week.
