Why don't I see Luminosity on the ACNET console or Channel 13?
Is there beam?
Check Accelerator Cable Channel 24 or parameter page C65 on the ACNET
console. Do not call Luminosity experts if there is NO BEAM.
Check Luminosity High Voltage.
The Luminosity HV (visible from the Luminosity console d0ol12) should
be set to 100% (solenoid on) or 70% (solenoid off). Check that the
GUI is reporting the proper values by hitting "Reconnect" and making
sure that the RAMP button is not RED.
If the HV is tripped or improperly set, then reset it and ramp it to
the proper value. Otherwise, go to step 3.
Look at device C:D0LBN with a parameter page (such as C65) or
database examine page D80 on the ACNET console. In a shell window on
the Shift Captains console, do:
The value <1421279> is the next Luminosity Block Number. The number
in C:D0LBN should be within 10 of that value. If so, then the D0-->BD
communications are working. Go to step 4. Otherwise, call the
Luminosity expert for assistance.
Check Master Clock.
Look at Rack 100 in MCH1. Look at sequencer 7020 lines 12, 13, 14
(these are labelled). These clock lines must be active (green led).
If they are not, then the Master Clock needs to be reset. Follow the
standard instructions and send e-mail to Michael Begel, Dan Edmunds,
and Daniel Mendoza. If the lines are active, then call the Luminosity
expert.
