Code Management at D0

These web pages describe, via D0 specific examples and pointers to other documents, the code management system being developed jointly by personnel from the Fermilab Computer Division (CD) and the D0 and CDF experiments. It does not, however stand alone. The goal is to provide D0 specific details needed to use the tools described elsewhere in the D0 environment.

Remote Distribution
- Initial installation
  
  Registering to receive distributions
  You must be registered to be able to access both the D0 and the Fermilab distribution machines. This form will do both.

Unix Product Support and Unix Product Distribution. FNAL's answer to product maintainence and distribution. Allows multiple concurrent released versions to co-exist.

BaBar Version of SoftRelTools
the suite of release tools written by Bob Jacobsen et.al. for the BaBar experiment at SLAC. See also the User's Guide. This system is the basis of our version of SoftRelTools.

Obsolete but may be of historical interest

FermiRedHatLinux 5.2 vs 6.1 and ups products problem
Newer Linux machines that must run with the FRH6.1 kernals, but have "downgraded" to 5.n, or 5.n machines which have upgraded the kernal may have a problem when installing Fermilab ups products. Read this for a way to avoid the problems and a recovery technique.
