Purpose of the Event

A convenient centralized repository:

• Repository for all objects (raw, calibrated, and reconstructed) pertaining to the event with unique identifier; provides access to associated "algorithms" or to the parameters used to create them.

• Ensure consistency of internal and external associations and references between objects.

• Allow multiple sets of data from the similar algorithms to be stored and accessed easily.

• Allow for new kinds of data to be stored and accessed easily.

• Memory management

• Persistency (and I/O)

• debugging ability
