   This is the latest schedule update, after various discussions that have taken place during the last few weeks, and after Ulrich having gone through another iteration of MS Project.

3. runIIb plans and influence on STT design [Hal Evans]
   The choice of the APV25 chip for SMT read-out may have very strong repercussions on the STT. Discussions are going on, and Rich Partridge is aware of the issue. He affirms that no decisions will be taken without consultation with the STT group. We want and have to make sure that the STT design does not preclude compatibility with teh SMT read-out scheme for run2b.

4. version management
   There was a D0 RUG meeting on Wednesday 25 October. One of the items on the agenda was "L1/L2 configuration control" with a presentation by Elizabeth Gallas entitled "Versioning in the trigger data base". Her transparencies are available in ppt or pdf format.

     L2STT Trigger Simulator Studies: CFT track distributions in one STT Crate
     The following data samples have been considered (all 100 events each):
     • t tbar + 0 min bias
     • t tbar + 1.1av min bias ( 73 evts)
     • t tbar + 4 min bias ( 88 evts)
     • QCD 40-80 0 min bias
     • QCD 40-80 2 min bias
     The L1 CFT trigger simulator truncates tracks in the following way:
     The output of the DFE boards (ones which handle the 4.5 degree sectors) has a max. of 6 tracks/pT bin, i.e., a max. of 24 tracks/sector. The tracks list is ordered in Pt (highest first).
     The output of octant boards is a max. of 24 tracks/octant (the tracks with the highest pT).
     The output of the Quadrant boards to the L2 pre-processors is truncated to give a maximum of 46 tracks/pT bin.
     Plots:
     • Plot 1 - Total number of CFT tracks in STT
     • Plot 2 - Number of CFT Tracks in STT Crate 0. Rem: one CFT track is associated to a given STT crate if the last cluster (in the highest STT layer) associated to the track is contained into this crate.
     • PLot 3 - PHI angle distribution of CFT tracks at A layer in CFT. PHI values are binned by 60 degrees steps
     • PLot 4 - Number of CFT tracks accepted into a 60 degrees sector.
     • Plot 5 - Number of CFT tracks acepted into a 60 degrees sector plus overlays
     • Plot 6 - Number of CFT tracks distributed over each STT crate.

   • CPU purchase [Bill Lee]
     Bill has compiled the CPU Purchase status into the chart below; believes that all of the parts for the adaptor card are on order. The CPU's and the Runtime Licenses are imminent. The main adaptor delays are the front panel from Rittal (due 27-NOV-00) and the fabricating of the board which doesn't even have a PO yet. Bill will look into if any of this can be sped up.
