The combination of Ia and Ib+Ic data

After I thought in detail about the combination of Doug's Ia result and my Ib+Ic result, I reallized that maybe it was not worth combining Doug's Ia result with my Ib+Ic result. The reason is:
1. Considering Ia's ee and en signal eff., I can only combine the result for lq mass = 80, 100, 120, and 140GeV. The highest lq mass in ee is 160 and the highest lq mass in en is 140 GeV. But my Ib+Ic can exclude lq mass up to 167 Gev. That means I could only combine the low mass range limit. Also, the error of eff is total so I cannot deal with the intercorrelation about the jet energy scale uncertainty.
2. The Ia candidates is 0 for both ee and en channel. The backgrounds are point something plus 50% total uncertainty. I cannot deal with the intercorrelation between the backgrounds.
What I am doing now is setting Ib cuts on Ia data(no additional candidate for both ee and en channel) and scale up the backgrounds. John and I talked to Meena about the difference between Ia and Ib. She said there should be no much difference. I looked up the d0notes about the electron ID difference between Ia and Ib(same ID cuts). The result is: CC e (%) EC e(%) remarks my ee result(d0note 3161)(Ib) 83.9+/-3.1 58.2+/-3.4 Et>25 eta<1.2 for CC
D0note 2351 (Ib) 86.8+/-0.4 63.7+/-2.4 Et>25 Ieta<11 for CC
D0note 2351 (Ia) 86.1+/-1.4 58.0+/-3.2 Et>25 Ieta<11 for CC
D0note 2355 (Ia) 83.0+/-0.4 N/A Et>25 Ieta<11 for CC
From the above table, we can see that the result is the same considering error for Ib eff. or for Ia and Ib eff.
If we assume the kinematic acceptance for Ia and Ib is the same (trigger eff. is proximately the same because my offline cuts is at lease 10 GeV above the trigger shreshold).
For ee channel, I used ele_2_high(Ia), em2_eis_eis(Ib) and em2_eis2_hi(Ic)
For en channel, I used ele_jet(Ia) and ele_jet_high(Ib).
To summerize the ee and en channel
ee: observed 3, bck: 2.9+/-1.1 for lum=117.7 (maxlive)
en: observed 3, bck: 4.0+/-1.1 for lum=103.7 (good beam)
I did not calculate the ee and en limits seperately. I calculated the combination of ee and en for Ia+Ib+Ic.
