New Phenomena Run II Triggerfest
Thanks to all the people who presented results at NP Triggerfest I.
Lots of nice work has been done. Summaries or transpanencies from
all the speakers will be added below as they become available. To make
further progress on this issue, we will organize a second triggerfest in the
spring, likely as part of an NP workshop.
The
list of topics and people who have committed to working on them is
available.
The tools and information available include:
Instructions for running upgrade geant and making a trigger ntuple from
your signal samples
Upgrade trigger page
Upgrade document
Silicon vertex trigger page
The level 1 and 2 trigger ntuples and
analysis code
Run I rates (print this out, ghostview puts it upside down)
More Run I stuff
For some reason, the muon variables and the cluster sum variables
(Ht-like variables) are not documented on the trigger upgrade page.
Here is the documentation...

I have an example of adding triggers to Jerry Blazey's menu. I added a jet +
electron trigger. A second trigger adds missing et to the same combination.
In addition, I added two level 1 muon triggers. The muon words in the ntuple
are explained in a
message
from Ken Johns to Cecilia which I have annotated.
The procedure for adding things to the menu is pretty straight forward. My
code can be found on the alpha cluster usr$root:[cope.trigfest]. The code
I modified can be seen below.

this out, there is some combination of errors that cause only the first two
