Abstract:

 Event shape variables offer an excellent opportunity to test QCD and
 to study the significance of the resummed calculations and power
 corrections. This studies can be done in hadron colliders by
 selecting the adequate variable that minimizes detector effects which
 come from the busy environment. The measurement of the dijet
 transverse thrust cross section using a data sample collected by the
 DZero detector during 1994-1995 and a comparison with perturbative
 QCD predictions of order O(alpha_s^3) are presented.
