Title: Search for Scalar Top Quark Production in pbarp Collisions at sqrt{s}= 1.8 TeV Link to paper if available: Session of First Preference: Beyond the Standard Model Session of Second Preference: LP Session: EW physics and beyond II Abstract: A new search by the D0 Collaboration for stop quark pair production in the inclusive electron-muon-missing E_T final state is done on a sample of pbarp events corresponding to 108.3 pb-1 of Run I data. The search is performed assuming that either the scalar neutrino or the lightest neutralino is the LSP. For the dominant 3-body decay stop -> b l sneutrino, this analysis provides significantly more stringent limits as a function of stop and sneutrino mass than previous LEP and CDF limits. The excluded region extends up to a scalar top mass of 140 GeV (95% CL) for a sneutrino mass of 43 GeV. Assuming that the lightest neutralino is the LSP, the 4-body decay stop -> b neutralino_1 f f' may dominate over the 2-body stop -> c neutralino_1 decay if the stop mass is greater than about 100 GeV. Cross-section limits assuming the 4-body decay stop -> b neutralino l neutrino are presented for when the decay is mediated by 1) a chargino and a W, and 2) a chargino and a sneutrino.
