August,
September 2000 Major Milestone
-
August 28:
All major improvements to be included
in preco05 must be released in the test build of the week of August
28.
Any major modifications that miss
this date will be targeted for next production release (~ December,2000).
-
Sept 11:
No new functionality will be allowed
in the test build of the week of Sept 11.
Only bug mistake fixes will be
allowed in this build. (And there better not be many!)
-
Sept 25:
Production version is created,
and formal certification begins.
Algorithm groups will report
on certification studies at the Oct 13 Algorithms meeting.
All developers for RECO and
LEVEL 3 should adjust their development schedules accordingly.

The raw data and any subsequent data
generated from the raw data become part of the event. This uses the Event
Data Model for access.
Calibration and alignment data are
provided to the event through a database.

Muon Hit Reconstruction
The D0 muon hit reconstruction is a
three step process that converts raw data from the detector to valid hits
for finding tracks. The first step sorts the raw data and identifies the
sections of the detector that have data for an event. The second step converts
the raw data into calibrated data in specific cells of the detector. The
third step groups the cells into segments and creates the hits for track
reconstruction.
1. Unpacking Raw Data
2. Processing Raw Data
3. Reconstructing Track Segments
